Last updated: 16 September 2026Acutro Ltd (“Acutro”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a UK-based provider of AI-powered smart building solutions operating across parts of EMEA. We are committed to operating responsibly and helping our customers and partners accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, sustainable built environment. This Sustainability Policy sets out our approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters. It is aligned with the UK Net Zero Strategy, the EU Green Deal, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Agreement and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) framework. It supplements our Privacy Notice, Data Processing Addendum, AI Security and Responsible Use Policy and other corporate policies.

By using our website or Platform, you acknowledge our commitment to sustainability as described in this Policy.

1. Our sustainability vision and commitments

We believe smart buildings are central to achieving net-zero targets. Our Acutro Platform uses AI-driven insights to optimise energy use, reduce carbon emissions and improve building performance — enabling our customers to meet their own sustainability goals while delivering operational savings and enhanced occupant wellbeing.

We are committed to:

  • Minimising the environmental impact of our own operations
  • Developing and delivering products and services that drive positive environmental and social outcomes
  • Operating with integrity, transparency and accountability across our value chain

2. Environmental responsibility

In our operations

We strive to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions in line with science-based targets. Our key actions include:

  • Sourcing renewable electricity where practicable
  • Promoting energy efficiency and waste reduction across our offices and remote working practices
  • Measuring and reporting our carbon footprint annually

Through our products and services

The Acutro Platform is specifically designed to help building owners and operators:

  • Reduce energy consumption and associated carbon emissions (our customers have typically achieved 20–40% reductions in connected buildings depending on baseline and implementation; actual results vary significantly and are not guaranteed).
  • Achieve real-time visibility and optimisation of HVAC, lighting, renewables and other systems
  • Support compliance with UK EPC, MEES, EU EPBD and other regulatory requirements
  • Enable data-driven decarbonisation and net-zero pathways

We do not claim absolute performance guarantees; actual results depend on building configuration, usage patterns and customer implementation.

Circular economy and resource efficiency

We design our digital solutions to extend the life of existing building assets, reducing the need for new construction and associated embodied carbon. We encourage responsible procurement and aim to minimise waste in our supply chain.

3. Social responsibility

We are committed to:

  • Providing a safe, inclusive and diverse workplace
  • Supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees and building occupants through our technology
  • Respecting human rights throughout our operations and supply chain
  • Engaging positively with the communities in which we operate

4. Governance and ethics

Sustainability is overseen by our senior leadership team and Board. We maintain robust policies on anti-bribery and corruption, data ethics, AI responsibility and supplier conduct. We expect our suppliers and partners to uphold equivalent standards.

We are committed to transparent reporting and continuous improvement. Where material, we align with relevant frameworks such as GRI, TCFD and emerging UK and EU sustainability reporting standards.

5. Targets and progress

We have set the following ambitions (subject to annual review):

  • Achieve carbon neutrality in our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035
  • Align our value-chain emissions reduction trajectory with SBTi 1.5°C pathways
  • Ensure 100% of new Platform features support measurable customer sustainability outcomes

Progress against these targets will be reported in our annual Sustainability Update (available on request).

6. Supply chain and partnerships

We work only with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability. Sustainability criteria form part of our supplier evaluation process. We engage with industry bodies, customers and regulators to advance best practice in smart buildings across the UK and EMEA.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect evolving best practice and regulatory requirements. The “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes will be notified via our website. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
